Little Passions down the road.....

Some years ago, I had developed a strange phobia in my mind where, I started worrying about the fact that the days of my life were just passing by day by day, without I being able to take a note of them. I was depressed about the fact that everything was so cyclic and systematic and unnoticeable and still things were happening.

The clock was ticking ever second without even asking me once, if I was prepared for the next second, or if I had lived the present second. The next breath was waiting to be inhaled before I had even exhaled the breath out. My existence was seemingly redundant to myself where my life was just passing from one second to the other, from one day to the next and so on....

The concern in the deepest of my mind was that as this life is slipping out of my hands each second and I was not sure if I was making something out of that moment passed. Was I growing as a person, was I improving each second, was my existence making a difference to this world, if at all? Why was I living just for the sake of living? What was the other option if I wanted to do something other than living? Will the time just keep flowing like this before I meet my final destination of Life- the Death? Will I have lived enough by then? Will my soul complain to me after I leave this earthly body that I might not have made the full out of this beautiful life?

With so many thoughts haunting me each second and aggravating my phobia of each second of passing time uselessly, I looked for the antidote to this worry.

The answer that came to me was
PASSION.

We don’t have a choice to live or not to live, but we do have a choice to live life the way we want to live it. Passion was the answer to all my queries. It is the drive to live. It’s the thing that fills the life with so much of enthusiasm that each second no more goes unnoticed and we make the best out of each second that’s passing through. It gives a reason to all of us live.

But, Passion for what? Anything and everything. It may be a passion to crack an entrance exam or the passion to love someone or the passion of living your life in social service or the passion to become the richest person in life or a passion to know yourself or God. But, then there is a reason for your existence and you are not just wasting your time here on this earth.

You have a satisfaction when you close your eyes in the night when you go to bed that the day that just got over has refined you as person. Has got made you a better you. Has brought you closer to your goal your ambition, and that gives you the enthusiasm and energy to jump out of the bed full of spirit the next day when the sun wakes you up with its sun rays out of the window.

Ask yourself - "what excites you, what drives you, what make you go gung ho, what is that can keep you awake for hours even when you are Dog tired?"

What is it that you have been always wanting to do and get out of your life but haven’t yet done. Just develop the love for that ONE thing and pull up your socks and then GET SET and GO….. Let the world see the smile on your face. Let the world notice you. And then at that very moment you are not just a creature crawling on this earth, you are the winner of life who now has a reason to live. Who loves his life and is going to get the best out of each tick of the clock and be assured, you will leave the clock behind you.

When the Death knocks at the door, it will not be taking away with him a soul that has not lived yet, but, a soul who has lived to the fullest each second, each day, each breath to the fullest.

He has given the best to each tick of the clock and has nothing more to complain and can happily depart when the time is ripe.

Arise, awake and stop not…..
……..Till the goal is reached.

Have a PASSION .. Have a LIFE…..
