Walk we Walked.....
.....I was startled to see her in front of me. She was looking as radiant and beautiful as ever. But today, the freshness on her face was brighter than the most beautiful morning. Her eyes were the most innocent ones in which I could have dived my self for the rest of my life.
We stared at each other, but then I just looked the other way and started walking. I knew we have separated and can never be back again. The love that I had dreamt of had gone from my life forever. I had just taken a step when she called me ‘Praveen’. My heart missed the beat. I turned around and was in a state of shock to see her standing with her hand stretched out towards me and with a deep smile on her face. I could not believe my eyes…. Had been waiting for this moment since eternity….. my mind stopped working and I stepped towards her…… I held her hands and as we started walking together, I hesitatingly wrapped my hands over her shoulder for the first time, and she smiled…… may be I didn’t want her to leave again…..wanted to trap her in my arms for the rest of my life. As we took each step, no single word came out of our mouths. What was there to say? What was there to ask? Why she came back? Will she leave again?... No such question was worth interfering in those sweet moments...... The mere presence of the beloved is what made me speechless. It was a cold morning with chill outside and the market area was already crowded, but that hardly bothered us as we walked hand in hand….I was in a trance… I knew how much I loved her……Beep…. Beep……Beep…..
Beep….Beep….Beep……Beep……. I opened my eyes………. The ceiling fan was staring at me….. The bed-sheet that I had covered last night was miles away from me…. The alarm clock was still ringing…Beep.... Beep..... Beep...... I understood in a fraction of second… Oh my god, life has not changed, I was dreaming….
I didn’t know what to do? …. I just wanted to go back into my dreams…. I just wanted to go and walk with her hand in hand….. I had lost her once again….. she had left.
Anyways, after a couple of seconds, I came back with terms to this true life and got up with a smile on my face. I had to start a new day, with new dreams and new love…. Stepped out of my room and saw Dad getting ready for office.. He gave a loving smile and said… “Good Morning son .. How was the sleep?”.... I just felt like saying … “Dad, It was bad, because I lost her once again”……but, I smiled back with enthusiasm to start a fresh day, and said, “ It was great!!”….
The heart was still skipping beats, as may be, I was still in a walk with her…. I put the paste on my tooth-brush and stared at myself in the mirror…. Saw a grief in my own eyes.. a sense of loss…. But , that’s not the way one starts his day!!.. so I gave a good boost to my self and smiled BIG… and said .. “Come on-Boy… It was just a dream..… You have to go miles.. You have to love many….. Life moves on"…… I left her there and then in the market walk…… and was back brushing and smiling at my sleepy face in the mirror, with tooth-paste all around my mouth.
That’s how life is… we live in two worlds…. First, is the one we want it to be and the second the one we live in. The more different they are the more sad we tend to be. And between these two lifes, comes the bridge….. DREAMS!!
They show us all that we want to see…. They show us what our sub-conscious wants…. You may be strong enough in the real world and may be the strongest of the strong…. But, when it comes to dreams, it catches you red-handed… You can’t cheat it.
I am not sure why God made these dreams? May be when we are very sad and God is generous enough to bless us, he chose to bless us in the dreams, as in the real world God is seldom visible now a days.
We all have to wake up from our dreams one morning and have to start a new day, a new morning where we have to leave our sorrows behind and have to learn to say ‘Good Morning Dad’ with a smile…. Because there are so many in this real life who love us… and care for us….. and life has just given all of us a single chance to live…. So, instead of cribbing over the dream, we have to move over to the outside world and face the truth and try to make the real world as beautiful as we can, so that this world will be much more beautiful than a dream......

Well Maria,
I am really enjoying this communication with you. This is so sweet. We don't know each other, far away in two countries, but the words relate us.
Its a nice way to relate with you, and let me tell you that I wait for your comments after writing an article, because you are the first person who called me a writer :).... That was a real push for me. Many read my articles, but seldom anyone takes a pain to write a comment.
I aspire to be a good writer someday, and I consider you as the first fan of an ameteur writer... Hahaha :)
I would love if you analyse my articles and put your thoughts on it and life in general... that would give me an insight to your personality and thoughts.
I would appreciate a long comment on what you have to say....
Anyways, this itself has become an article in itself.
Wishing you all the best!!
Take care Dear.
Dear Praveen:
From what I’ve read so far, I can say that yours is a very engaging prose. I personally like it because you successfully express the complexity of the deepest thoughts through the paradoxical simplicity of a fresh and natural style. In my field, we tend to say that the best writers and the best teachers are those who manage to make the most difficult things seem easy… and you are certainly a master in using the right words, in letting complicated thoughts and feelings flow in your writing exactly as they do in our minds… That’s a great virtue, because most of us are, however, unable to let them out without clinging to stereotypes and without coming to the frustrating conclusion that we are adulterating them with our use of the wrong words. I have the impression, though, that you are saying exactly what you want to say…. And it seems you manage to do it without too much effort.
There is something called Reader’s Response Theory in Literary Criticism and it refers to the different reactions to a text that different readers may have. Their interpretations are often quite varied and may have little to do with the author’s intention. Many writers leave readers quite indifferent but your posts can’t leave a reader indifferent, or haven’t left me indifferent at least. Some of them have made me think of similar feelings or thoughts about life and love. Others have led me to reflexions on topics I had never paid much attention to, and others have made me see that the attitude I want to stick to is that of that smiley and brave Praveen, that even when feeling sad, is still able to appreciate all the good things in life when the world of dreams and the world of reality seem to be parallel lines not meant to converge. What you write is not only a source of literary pleasure and enjoyment. It is also a set of experiences from which one can learn a lot!
And I'm glad to know people who care for the things you care, who worry about the things you worry, and who love and take life the way you seem to.
Good night!

Dear Maria,
The first thing I did after coming from the Office was to Check your comments.I was elated to see such a long one in place of those usual one liners.
Honestly, I am glad to have a learned reader as you, who has the capacity to analyze a peice of text so deeply and I too have gained a lot from it. So, thanks for that.
I would like to emphasize on the fact that the motive of my writings are to touch people's heart in a very straight and simple way, so that they see themselves and not me when they read these articles. I want them to rise spiritually and lovingly because what I write is something each one of us faces every now and then. Let it be in terms of love or life, we all come face to face with it. But, most of us don't give it a thought. That is what I want my web-site to do... Make people think, about what their life is about, and conclude it....or at least give an effort to it. I started this web-site when life had put me in a crisis with my own self, so I wrote things to pep myself up and at the same time to pep up people who share the same experiences as me.
I want them to deeply search around them the subtle etherical love that's connecting all of us.
At this moment as I am typing these words, there are some form of waves that are reaching you through my words, so these energies are nothing else but a part of the Universal love that contracts each one of us into a single ONE.
Just that we are so narrow-minded in our approach, that we have shrunk the love to a few 1 or two in this life and have forgotten that this is the soul aspect that clings the Sun and the earth. In scientific terms we call it Gravitaional force, but I consider it as a part of the cosmic love that flows through each one of us.
And about your comment where you say that I express everything in so simple words that they can relate to any one without any adulteration has saved me from a big mistake that I was about to commit. I was always in the wrong impression that the quality of my articles are not upto the mark because I am not able to use many complex and difficult words due to not having an extra-ordinary vocabulary. I felt that the more the reader has to refer to the dictionary the better the article:)
Somehow, I couldn't get the last paragraph in your coment, "And I'm glad ........way you seem to." Are you refering to the people in your life?
Do mail these links to your friends who you think are of a same mindset and will reflect on my thoughts with their comments. It will be fun to have some more opinions on life from various aspects of various people.
Ok then signing off with that.
Take care.
-Praveen
Hi Praveen,
As for that paragraph you didn't understand... sorry, my fault... I didn't express it very clearly... What I actually mean is that I don't know many guys (only very very very few) with such thoughts as yours, so I'm glad to know another one with whose thoughts and feelings my own ones seem to connect quite well. And yes, times of crisis are usually fruitful in some unexpected ways, and in this case, we have both gained a new (if I may say so) friend.
Thanks for calling me learned... but i'm a bit young to achieve that state ;), but yes, for work, apart from teaching I have to write critical comments on literary pieces... and well, you know, sometimes you just want to quit... I dont't think you have a limited vocabulary at all, you are just using the right words...
Will you try to publish what you write or will write some day? I know that can be very tough, because many factors have to converge, but... who knows??
Take good care,
mariamirened@hotmail.com
Dear Maria,
"HAHAHA" - That was my reaction when I saw your views about publishing what I write.
First of all I am not at all sure if some one will read it. I think if I try selling this I will not sell more than 10 peices.. LOL!!.
But, I should say that you are taking me real fast.. first you call me a writer(..I was elated!!), then you ask me if I will publish these. I seriously don't know dear.
When this was started I was missing someone very badly and so wanted to remove my lonliness and wanted to pull me out of that state through these small write ups. Even today I haven't come out of it, but that's what gives the beauty to my articles.
The person I am talking of, would have been glad to read my these small creations, but as life wanted it, these words came as a result of the deparature. So as you said, all things give way to better things, I too got an unknown (..but so known..) friend like you.
But as I can see, Yes, I will surely publish my book someday, but as of now that lies far low in priority. But, if I ever do, you shall be my reviwer and I shall surely put your mention in the acknowledgement column. And in the worst case of me getting a Nobel Prize for literature, I will share it with you.... HAHAHA..LOL.
Just Kidding Maria. I am glad that these small words have delighted my present. I will soon write an article about "How people come into our lives, and how they affect us, and after their role is over, how they leave us.".. I have been thinking about it for long.
Good Night and Take care!!
Anything that can be dreamed can also be accomplished. However, at times, the gods punish us by granting us our desires.
The very best way to attract a person of your dreams is to build yourself into the best person, spiritually, financially, physically and all the other words that end in "ly". By doing this the person will come to you.
By doing this we attract rather than scavange. When we set out to find a person, what we usually end up with is the left overs.
Attraction works better than promotion so to speak.
I enjoyed your post. Stay young as long as possible.
Thanks Cool V,
But may be you are talking on a slightly superficial level.
Whereas, I am here talking of the love on the core level. We can attract someone due to all the 'LY's mentioned by you, but as soon as those things are gone the person we had attracted also leaves.
But when it comes to pure love its about unconditionality and spending the life in all thick and thin.
Do explain your view point further, if you don't agree. I am glad to get a fedback form such a senior person, who is a grandfather. I will stay young till I leave this earth.... that's for sure:)
Take care.
Hahaha, you made me smile... Someone very dear to me, and whom I'm terribly missing now too, told me not so long ago that I'd win the Nobel Prize myself... so we'll all have to share it! haha... Yeah, I guess that when we like someone we want his/her achievements to be immediately known by everybody else :)) It's obvious you are not writing with a commercial and money-oriented purpose, and that should stay the same even if you publish, don't forget that or you'll lose your charm!! ;)
And yes, one thing is doing without someone you liked and got on well with, and another thing is separating from someone that touched you deep within... The reasons why that sometimes has to happen can be several... so
I'm looking forward to that article on people that come and go...No two stories are comparable but I'm sure I'll learn a lot from your thoughts on it... But well, remember to study for your exam first!!! ;)
Good night, and may life fill you with joy everyday... :)
Maria
nice! very nice!!
Hi Maria,
Good that you reminded me of my exam:)
I think the article will come only after my exam on Sunday.
Till then.. take care
Goodnight.
I hope your exam went well :)
Maria

Hi Maria,
My exam went fine.
I gave my best I could in those 2.5 Hrs... rest depends on the result.
Well, I hope to find some time for writing soon. As of now, i have piled up lots of work in the office due to exam, s have to work long hors to get things settled. After that just me and my blog.... hahaha.
So how r u doing? Whats on at ur side?
Take care.
Hi Deepu,
I am sorry to say but, I felt very happy that you had tears in your eyes, because that assures me of the fact that what I write touches people's heart.
So keep watching this blog, lots to come from even more deeper core of the heart...( But how deep can the heart be :))
Take care.Hope to meet you soon and take a treat. U know why...
Very Nicely written, emotional yet teaches the hard truth of life that no one wishes to accept.
Hi Garima,
As u said that u felt bad to post a small comment, I must say that these one liners hold a lot of value for me.
Keep posting what u feel, and never hesitate to comment ur feelings, I would like all to pour out their hearts.
And even, in any case if u personaly want to talk on a point I am always available... some thing like Krishna Consiousness.
I perosnaly liked that concept, but ws sad about a fact that you concealed ur identity.
BE BOLD IN WHAT YOU STAND FOR.
Do what you love.. and let the world not deter you from your love.
Take care.. and Wish u all the very best in life.
Hi Maria,
U r my lucky charm I feel.
After u became my reader, I am glad to have so many comments pouring in form people..
Thanks dear.
I am really sorry, not to be able to extract time, somehow fallen in love with work, and writing has taken a back seat.... but soon will be back till then lets manage with comments.. ;)
Hey Praveen,
Glad to be called 'lucky charm'! That's sooo sweet!! :)
I was also very very happy to see so many posts, which confirms that my theory is right and not just my personal and subjective impression!! ;)
I easily become very emotional, that's true, but only when there is a very good sad/happy reason. I also got tears in my eyes (but didn't dare confess!!) when reading one of your previous blog entries, glad to know I was not alone in that either...
We'll be as patient as necessary, so don't feel in a hurry, but whenever you write, be sure we will all be here.
Chalo, enjoy your days, and shub ratri :)
Maria
Hey Hey Hey Maria!!
First of all, Are u an Indian? And how come u know Hindi, if u have not been to India ever? You know Hindi.
How did u say "Shubh Ratri"? and Chalo??
I avoided Hindi in my writings because I thought Maria can't understand that. But, I am stunned yaar.
Can you plz explain the mystery?
Truth Plz!!
And don't hide ur tears, as I said I think wet eyes look beautiful.
Hehe, kya hua?? No, I'm not an Indian, and I wish I knew more Hindi than just a few sentences, which I keep forgetting and spelling in the wrong way, and I will not talk about my pronunciation!! I find it a very beautiful language and I love the way it sounds. I learned a tiny little bit from some Indian friends only... Have a good day! Maria.
Ok Then Maria,
I have no choice but to believe you... hehe:)
I will not ask anymore questions as I appreciate to know you only through your comments.
Good day and take care.
